Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB) hosted Deans of Scientific Research from various Jordanian universities as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation and joint action with higher education institutions in the fields of research, development, and innovation related to the defense industry, in line with the Bureau's national strategic directions.
During the visit, a briefing was delivered on the Bureau's mandates, strategic orientations, and its role in supporting scientific research and technology localization. The briefing also highlighted the Bureau's innovation programs and platforms, foremost among them the Creativity and Innovation Platform, and its initiatives that support research and applied projects in areas of national priority.
The meeting focused on exploring prospects for joint cooperation between the Bureau and Jordanian universities in the fields of research, development, and innovation, particularly in the unmanned aviation sector. Discussions also addressed supporting joint research projects and exploring avenues to further develop partnerships in this field, contributing to enhanced integration between the higher education and industrial sectors, as well as the exchange of expertise and knowledge.
The visit concluded with a presentation of the meeting outcomes and future cooperation prospects by the Director General of the Bureau, Major General (Ret.) Engineer Ayman Al-Batran, and attendees, building on the discussions held in a manner that serves the research and development ecosystem and contributes to achieving national objectives.
