Wisam M. Obeidat is Full-time lecturer of Weed science at the School of Agriculture, University of Jordan, where he has been teaching and conducting research since 2023. Dr. Obeidat's research focuses on weed management, weed ecology, weed biology, weed allelopathy effect on crops, and parasitic weeds. In our research program, we study how different weed management practices can affect crop yields and soil quality, Understand the ecological roles of weeds and their interactions with crop plants, the impact of plant competition on plant fitness, and how allelopathy affects plant and soil health. A key project focuses on extracting green nanomaterials from weeds to manage plant pests. Dr. Obeidat emphasizes an integrated approach, combining traditional and innovative techniques to provide solutions to a significant on-farm problem.
