Wheat stem rust (WSR), caused by Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici (Pgt), was surveyed in wheat growing regions in Jordan to assess race composition and genotypic diversity using differential host lines and SNP markers. Five distinct physiological races and five corresponding genetic clades/sub-clades were identified from the collected live and dead samples, while two genotypes were detected from the historical samples.
