PAS​ research group mission:

Is interested in functional analysis of molecular, biochemical and physiological plant responses under abiotic stresses. Abiotic stresses imposed by climate changes on both halophytes and glycophytes are of great importance. These include extreme drought periods, saline soils and heat waves. Such conditions are detrimental for plant growth and development.  

Our research interests:

1. Saltbush genome and transcriptome under saline and drought conditions.

2. Introgression breeding between watermelon and bitter apple

3. Breeding salinity tolerant tomatoes.

4. Transcriptome of olives and date palms under salinity and drought stresses.

5. Memory genes for stress priming (wheat and tomatoes).
