Prof. Mohammad Brake, Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Jerash University, Jordan
He is Professor of Plant Biotechnology and received his PhD from Italy.
He is a former researcher at NARC, and now he is the Dean of Faculty of Science at Jerash University.
He is interested in genetic diversity of native plant species in Jordan in addition to major crop landraces and genebank accession. He deploys DNA molecular marker technologies including SSR, ISSR, AFLP, and SNP. He is also engaged in genome NGS for major species in Jordan like Olives. His research spans to salinity stress in major crops such as tomatoes.
He has more than 25 publications in the field and engaged in multiple national and international committees related to GMOs and plant biotechnology.
