​Prof Saeid Abu-Romman, Department of Biotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture and Technology, Balqa University, Jordan

Prof Abu-Romman is currently Professor of Crop Molecular Physiology and Biotechnology. He received his Ph.D. in Plant Physiology and Biotechnology from the University of Hohenheim-Germany.

He was a former director of the Office of Cooperation and International Relations and the former Dean of Scientific Research and Innovation.

Dr Saeid is working with vetches native to Jordan, which were adapted to local conditions. For which he cloned major genes related to ROS, where he characterized their sequences and phylogeny. In addition he studies their 3D structure and expression profiles under various abiotic stress conditions and plant bioregulators. He has over 70 refereed publications and advised multiple MSc students.​
