We are pleased to announce the establishment of a transformative partnership between our research group and four esteemed organisations: Amman Municipality, Ministry of Education, the Arab Community of Open Access-Egypt (ACOA-Egypt), the Arab Community of Library and Information Science (ACLIS), and the Jordanian Library Association (JLA). This collaboration represents a shared commitment to fostering innovation, advancing open access to knowledge, and strengthening the role of libraries and information systems in driving societal progress across the Arab region.
Through this initiative, we aim to achieve three core objectives:
- Enhancing Information Accessibility: Streamlining access to scholarly resources through AI-driven tools and adaptive interfaces.
- Optimising User-Centric Services: Redesigning library ecosystems to improve user experiences via data analytics and personalised digital solutions.
- Pioneering Technological Innovation: Developing cutting-edge digital infrastructure for intelligent library management and resource dissemination.
The collaboration will involve joint research projects, interdisciplinary academic exchanges, and transnational knowledge-sharing platforms. These efforts are designed to address contemporary challenges in library sciences, foster global best practices, and contribute to the evolution of academic libraries within the digital era.
We anticipate this partnership will yield transformative outcomes for students, researchers, and library professionals while establishing a benchmark for cross-institutional innovation in the Global South and beyond.
