Dr. Oumama Hamasha from the Faculty of Sharia at the University of Jordan Awarded Chevening Fellowship at Oxford, UK for 2024.​

Dr. Oumama Imad Hamasha has been selected as one of only three scholars worldwide to receive the prestigious Chevening Fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies (OCIS) for the year 2024. The Chevening OCIS Fellowship is a distinguished research opportunity for scholars specializing in Islamic studies, attracting researchers to conduct advanced and in-depth studies in the field. The program is funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and the renowned University of Oxford.

Dr. Hamasha holds a PhD in Hadith Studies and Islamic Studies from the University of Birmingham, UK. Her selection for this prestigious fellowship is a significant achievement, reflecting her distinguished position as a scholar in Islamic studies at both the local and global levels.
