Dr. Mohammad Abu-Rumman is an Associate Professor at the Prince Hussein School of International Studies and Political Science at the University of Jordan. He is also the co-founder and academic advisor of the Politics and Society Institute, a prominent research centre in Jordan. Dr. Abu-Rumman previously served as Jordan's Minister of Culture and Minister of Youth (2018-2019) and as a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies at the University of Jordan (2010-2022). He has a long career in journalism, having been the director of studies and articles at Al-Ghad newspaper (2004-2010) and a daily writer (2004-2018). Dr. Abu-Rumman's work has been closely engaged with how political mobilisation takes place and the internal and external motivators for radicalisation among Jordanian youth. His work on political motivators extended to the practical side as a public intellectual and key figure in the modernisation process. Empowering different social components through leading the Youth Subcommittee in the Royal Committee for Modernising the Political System, tackling key issues relating to youth motivation.
