The Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Jordan, Department of Design and Visual Communication, organized two scientific seminars on Sunday and Monday, January 5 and 6, 2025. The first seminar was titled "Research Methods for Design", while the second seminar was titled "Lighting for Interior Design", and was supervised by Dr. Eman Mayah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Design and Visual Communication.

In the first seminar, Dr. Mayah discussed the foundations of scientific research in the field of design, focusing on the methodological frameworks necessary to formulate research problems, in addition to highlighting the basic skills that a researcher in this field must possess.

In the second seminar, Dr. Mayah addressed the topic of lighting in interior design, reviewing the characteristics of lighting and the basic terms associated with it, as well as the different sources of lighting and their positives and negatives. She also explained the types of lighting dispersion and their level of effectiveness, and concluded the seminar by presenting practical steps for designing a professional lighting scheme that balances function and beauty in interior design.
