Dr. Mahmoud Ali Barghash is a Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Jordan, holding a PhD in Manufacturing Analysis. His academic focus spans workload and business flow analysis, multivariate quality control, and advanced optimization algorithms.

Dr. Barghash’s research utilizes simulation and optimization tools to enhance operational efficiency, particularly in fixed dispatching time policies. He has developed a mutual information–based genetic algorithm for adaptive parameter tuning, with practical applications in operations scheduling and business optimization. His work in pattern recognition for both univariate and multivariate processes has further strengthened quality control methodologies in industrial settings.

His contributions extend to mentorship as well—his students have consistently excelled in national competitions, securing first place in senior graduation projects and second place in the Industry Chamber competition in recent years.​
