In December 2025, the University of Jordan, An-Najah National University, and Lancaster University will host a hybrid roundtable event titled Countermapping Palestinian Cities Through Literature. The event brings together leading Palestinian authors to discuss how literature “countermaps” cities in historic Palestine by reimagining space, memory, and belonging. Speakers include Maya Abu al-Hayyat, Ibtisam Azem, Basma Ghalayini, and others. The roundtable will take place on Wednesday, 10 December, at Furness LT 2 at Lancaster University, with online participation available for attendees joining from Palestine and Jordan.​​
