Dr. Ibrahim Farhan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the University of Jordan, specializing in GIS, Remote Sensing, and environmental monitoring. He holds a Ph.D. in Land, Water, and Environment from the University of Jordan and has over 15 years of experience in geospatial technologies and environmental research.

His work focuses on climate variability, urban classification, natural disaster prediction, and geospatial modeling. Dr. Farhan has contributed to numerous national and international projects funded by organizations such as NATO, DAAD, and the Ministry of Environment, advancing methodologies for land use analysis, drought monitoring, and integrated water resource management.

He has published extensively in leading journals on topics including soil erosion assessment, climate change impacts on agriculture, and GIS-based sustainability solutions. In addition to his research, Dr. Farhan is an experienced trainer and educator, delivering courses on GIS, GPS, and remote sensing applications.

His recent studies explore spatiotemporal land use changes, flood hazard assessment, and climate-driven agricultural planning, positioning him as a key voice in applying geospatial technologies for sustainable development.
