she graduate-level courses at the Women’s Studies Center at the University of Jordan. The courses she teaches focus primarily on social theory, feminist theory, and key concepts in women’s and gender studies.
Her research interests center on women’s issues in the public sphere, with particular emphasis on the social representation of women’s bodies, the social construction of concepts related to women, and women’s literature. She is a member of both the Jordanian Sociological Society and the Arab Sociological Association, and has participated in numerous conferences and workshops concerned with the empowerment of Arab women and the integration of women’s issues into development agendas.
She is frequently invited to deliver motivational and public lectures on a wide range of issues related to Arab and Jordanian women. She also manages training programs and awareness-raising seminars on the sociology of women at both the local and international levels.
She previously served as Head of the Research and Communication Department at the Women’s Studies Center. She is currently conducting a research study on Judith Butler. She has also previously held the position of Director of the Women’s Studies Center at the University of Jordan and served as a Senator (Member of the Jordanian Senate).
