​​KOICA Visit to the University of Jordan​

23/2/2025 - 4/3/2024: Dr. Ramzi Saifan and Dr. Talal Edwan participated in the meetings of the Korean team visit which planned to build a training center at the University of Jordan with a $11 millions grant from KOICA to teach cyber security, AI, and renewable energy.


 

20/11/2024 - 22/11/2024: Dr. Ramzi particpated in 5th International Conference on Communications, Information, Electronic and Energy Systemsconference in Veliko Turnovo, Bulgaria, and presented a paper titled "Probabilistic and Deterministic Full Duplex Routing Protocol in Cognitive Radio Networks​"

29/10/2024: Dr. Mohammed Hawa was honored by the Jordanian Association for Engineers for receiving a patent titled: “Efficient Postal Address Allocation A​​ssisted by Cellular Telephony and Global Positioning Systems,” Granted as Patent No. 4023. Date: December 11, 2014, Directorate of Industrial Property Protection, Jordan.

31/12/2024: The President of the University of Jordan, Dr. Nathir Obeidat, honored Professor Dr. Khalid Ahmad Darabkeh in his office today in recognition of his valuable contributions to enhancing the university’s standing and academic journey. Based on the decision of the Council of Deans and in acknowledgment of Darabkeh’s distinguished record in teaching, scientific research, and university service, he was awarded the title of "Distinguished Professor" according to the approved standards at the University of Jordan.

​Prof. Iman was ranked among Stanford—Elsevier's Top 2% Scientists worldwide in the cybersecurity and networking fields for two consecutive years, 2023 and 2024.​

Prof. Iman Launched the first cybersecurity hub at the University of Jordan

rof. Iman Almomani, a faculty member at the University of Jordan’s King Abdullah II School of Information Technology, supervised the launch of the university's first specialized cybersecurity platform“JUCC Cyber Security Hub.” The platform, developed by students as part of their graduation project, offers four core services including cybersecurity awareness, risk assessment, training programs, maturity evaluation, and a digital portal for competitions like Capture the Flag (CTF).

Prof. Almomani emphasized the hard work and dedication of the student team over the past year and highlighted the college’s strong talent pool capable of turning creative cybersecurity ideas into reality. She praised the students’ ability to develop a practical, impactful project that supports both the university and the wider community.
