Our research group is equipped with state-of-the-art resources to support cutting-edge research and development within the Water, Energy, Food, Environment (WEFE) Nexus. These resources enable us to develop innovative frameworks and tools for optimizing resource utilization, minimizing environmental impact, and enhancing resilience across key sectors.
Weather Stations: We operate two weather stations at the University of Jordan and one in Ma'an, providing vital climate data for regional studies and modeling efforts.
Pilot Solar Desalination Site: Located in Khaldiya, this site serves as a demonstration project for innovative solar-powered desalination technologies, addressing water scarcity challenges in arid regions.
Eco-Car Lab:
Renewable Energy Laboratory: Based at the University of Jordan, this lab is equipped with advanced facilities for research in solar energy, thermal energy, photovoltaics (PV), wind energy, and fuel cells, enabling comprehensive studies in renewable energy systems.
AgroTec Lab:
Nexus Modeling Software: Developed in collaboration with our partners at Texas A&M University, this software supports advanced modeling of interdependencies within the WEFEH Nexus, offering valuable insights for integrated resource management and policy-making.
Opening ceremony for the Renewable Energy Lab :
These resources, combined with our advanced modeling and analytical techniques, empower us to generate actionable insights, support data-driven decision-making, and drive the transition toward sustainable and equitable systems globally.
