Partnerships

Public Partnerships:

We are dedicated to strengthening strategic partnerships with esteemed national institutions. Notably, we collaborate with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC), which plays a central role in coordinating policy reforms across sectors. MoPIC's Reform Secretariat Unit is instrumental in overseeing the implementation of Jordan’s Reform Matrix, covering critical areas including water, energy, food, and environmental sustainability. Through this partnership, we support the institutionalization of the Water-Energy-Food-Environment (WEFE) Nexus governance framework in Jordan.

Private Partnerships:

INWRDAM (Inter-Islamic Network for Water Resources Development and Management) and IIASA (International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis). These collaborations have played a key role in enhancing our research on sustainable water resource management and energy transitions. Notable joint efforts include the study "Water–Energy Nexus: Addressing Stakeholder Preferences in Jordan," which emphasizes co-creative approaches to reconcile diverse perspectives in managing the water-energy nexus.

Our work with industry leaders has been essential in applying research to real-world challenges, ensuring the development of innovative technologies that address global sustainability goals. Through partnerships with private sector entities, we access vital resources, cutting-edge tools, and market-driven expertise, enabling us to drive research that aligns with current industry needs. These collaborations support energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resource management solutions that directly contribute to sustainability efforts.

International Partnerships:
We are committed to amplifying the impact of our research through global collaborations, such as with the University of Texas, Innsbruck University, California San Diego, and the Technical University of Hamburg. These institutions provide invaluable specialized expertise and real-world data that significantly enhance the quality and applicability of our outcomes. These partnerships have been instrumental in securing funding from renowned programs such as Erasmus+, DAAD, NIH, and GIZ. Some of our joint international projects include the RESys100 project, GC3WFH, and INNOMED, which have helped us advance sustainable energy transitions and resource management research in the Middle East.

Through collaboration with these academic and international leaders, we contribute to groundbreaking research on topics such as sustainable energy transitions and energy policy formation, ensuring that our work remains scientifically robust and aligned with global sustainability objectives. These efforts not only benefit academic progress but also ensure meaningful societal impact.
