1.MSC Student Bushra Al-Zamili

Abstract

This research aims to explore the themes addressed in digital artworks produced by Arab artists during the aggression on Gaza following the events of October 7th, and how artists expressed these themes artistically. The research employs a qualitative content analysis approach to data, utilizing various analytical methods such as color analysis, composition and spatial analysis,
iconography analysis, and narrative analysis. The research relied on collecting digital artworks from the Instagram platform. The findings revealed that digital artists responded promptly to
events and individuals, expressing solidarity through depictions of the Palestinian resistance and the steadfast Palestinian. The artists also conveyed the tragedies suffered by Palestinians in Gaza
as a result of the war, including displacement, massacres, famine, and loss. There was a clear focus on the presence of children in their artwork. The artists incorporated Palestinian visual
representations such as the keffiyeh, the key, watermelon, olives, and oranges. Women in the digital artworks of these artists were portrayed in various roles: including as resistance figures, grieving mothers, and as symbolic representations of Palestine. Student Role

The student plays a fundamental role in the graduation project titled "Recycling," contributing both creatively and practically to sustainable design solutions. Through research, experimentation, and hands-on work, the student explores innovative ways to repurpose materials, transforming waste into functional and artistic pieces. By applying design principles and eco-friendly techniques, the project not only raises awareness of environmental sustainability but also showcases the vast potential of recycled materials in contemporary art and design. The student’s role highlights the importance of responsible creativity and the contribution of designers to a more sustainable future.

Additionally, the project includes in-depth scientific research on the production of chairs with modern designs, utilizing advanced engineering techniques to test and evaluate the performance of new prototypes. This research demonstrates the significance of integrating scientific innovation with art, enhancing the quality of designs and providing innovative, practical solutions that revolutionize the furniture industry.
