About:
Visual artist, curator and professor of Fine Arts at the University of Granada and the Higher Institute for Peace and Conflict Research.
Artist with a solid presence and professional recognition, participating regularly in international fairs and holding numerous individual and collective exhibitions in Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Germany, Holland, Belgium, the United States, Hungary, Finland, Russia, Egypt, China, Greece, Fiji, Romania, Papua New Guinea, Norway, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, etc. in centers such as Darat al Funum (Aman, Jordan), Inter Art Gallery, 798 Art District (Beijing, China), Tate (London, UK), GAM, Palermo Modern Art Gallery, Sicily, Columbia, ARTifariti, Western Sahara, S.C., USA, Tamarind, New Mexico, Imatran Taidemuseo, Finland, Pushkinskaya 10 Art Center, St Petersburg, etc. Awarded and granted scholarships for further studies and artistic creation in more than thirty institutions. He has curated five international art festivals with both established and emerging artists and is a member of the panel of experts of the prestigious international curatorial project Artist Pension Trust.
He has worked in a hundred institutions on five continents, and currently combines his teaching at the U.Gr. with other teaching positions in institutions in Finland and the United Kingdom. Author of numerous articles and books, including: Political Art and Social Commitment (CENEDEAC 2017). Master in Environmental Management, EU and Director of the CreaciónECI Research Group.
López-Aparicio's professional and social commitment as an artist has led him to assume the responsibilities of Honorary President of the Fine Art European Forum and of the executive of the European League of Institutes of Art. Member of the executive editorial of the Journal of Art Research. Vice President of the Union of Andalusian Artists and of the board of directors of the Spanish UNION. Gold star for the EU for mobility programs. EU expert in Quality Assurance.
