Since October 2023, I am the Chairman of the Research Chair (Ifpo-AFD) on Urban Environments in the Near East, hosted at the French Institute of the Near East (Ifpo), in collaboration with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD). I am an associate researcher at the European Center for Research in Financial Economics and Business Management (CERFIGE) at the University of Lorraine, France. I have 13 years of experience as a researcher and consultant in the field of social economy and labor policies. I have worked as a "labor market analyst" and "employment policy advisor" for various international organizations, and I have contributed to several research projects and evaluation reports as a principal investigator and/or lead author (ILO, UNDP, UNICEF, etc.). Between 2012 and 2023, I was involved in two European projects on urban regeneration in the MENA region (MEDNETA and MEDCULTURE), and I coordinated two European projects on labor market information systems (Erasmus+ CONECTE and TEMPUS PACOME). Currently, I am involved in two research programs, the SUBLIM project funded by the National Research Agency (ANR) with Ifpo, and the European TEXTOUR project (Horizon 2020). As a scholar and researcher, I worked between 2009 and 2022 at Saint Joseph University in Beirut where I held the position of Associate Professor and Director of the Observatory of Socio-Economic Realities (OURSE). In 2015, I received the Fulbright scholarship from the US government, with a residency at the University of Illinois, and I received the award for the best research of the year in economics and management from the National Council for Scientific Research in Lebanon.
