Pro.f Issam Alhadid, Dean of the School of Information Technology and Systems at the University of Jordan – Aqaba, and a member of the E-Government Services and UX Research Group, participated in the “تــــ ” Initiative, launched under the theme “To Empower, Employ, and Equip Jordanian Youth.” The event took place at the Aqaba National Vocational Training Complex, marking its official inauguration.
During the panel discussion, Dr. Alhadid addressed the importance of cognitive and professional competencies required in today’s labor market, emphasizing the need for young people to focus on digital skills that are increasingly vital in the modern workforce.
He explained that digital transformation and rapid technological advancements demand a diverse set of capabilities — including analytical thinking, effective communication, and adaptability to dynamic work environments. Dr. Alhadid stressed that investing in skills development is a crucial step toward empowering youth and enhancing their competitiveness in both local and regional job markets.
