Award Ceremony for Students of "Reading and Debate/Turkish" Course was held on Tuesday, January 8, 2025  by Section of Turkish & English Languages, Department of Asian Languages, School of Foreign Languages at the University of Jordan. The ceremony included honouring students who participated in the Reading competition, which is related to the same course content alongside honouring participants students in the 'Bookworms' project, which is designed for this course’s students and Turkish Section students in general.

Both the competition & the project were produced within the context of the "Reading and Debate" course with the coordination of Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA who teaches this course and was the organizer of the ceremony. Students who helped organizing this project: Enas Ibrahim, Hadeel Altabakhi, Fatma Zyoud and others who helped arranging the Turkish Corner, were all honoured.

The head of the Department of Asian Languages, Dr.Malek Sawalha and Dr.Utku Mehmet ÖDEN attended the ceremony. During the ceremony Dr.Malek Sawalha delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of reading in developing students’ skills as well as its function in increasing their comprehension and analytical abilities. Towards the end, appreciation certificates were distributed to all winners acknowledging the participants’ efforts and active engagements.
