Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA is an Assistant Professor in Turkish Language, who has been working in the Department of Asian Languages in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Jordan since January 2011. She was Head of the Department of Asian Languages from September 2016 to September 2018 and from September 2020 to February 2024.
Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA earned her BSc degree from the Hoja Ahmet Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in 1995. Because of her outstanding academic achievement, she has received full scholarships from the Hoja Ahmet Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University for four years of her study and later to pursue her MSc at the same university and PhD at the Gazi University. She was awarded a PhD from the Gazi University, Ankara/ Turkey in July 2004. In the Hoja Ahmet Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University she is recorded as being an excellent student. Her master's degree dissertation was selected as the best dissertation and her PhD degree dissertation was selected as one of the best dissertations.
From September 1995 to October 1999 and from September 2004 to August 2010 she was a lecturer of Turkish Language at the Hoja Ahmet Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University. She has been awarded Excellence Award in teaching (2005-2007).
Her research interests are Syntax of Turkish Language, Turkish Dialects, Teaching Turkish as a Foreign Language, Turcology and Translation. Dr. Bagdagul Musa is credited as an author of more than 10 publications in international journals, some of which are in high impact factor. Some of her researches have been cited by other researchers (82 citations).
Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA is a member of the Question Committee for Language and Literature Specializations/ Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance; a referee and member of the Editorial Board of different scientific journals.
She is active in presenting her research studies in international and national conferences. She has participated at more than 40 national and international conferences and has published her researches.
Dr. Bagdagul MUSSA has been working and serving for 25 years at the universities and contributing in various capacities for the development of the Turkish Language and its teaching. She believes that the languages are linguistic bridges between nationalities and countries of the world.
