The Historical Development of the Turkic Language and Turkic Dialects

​The "World Turkic Languages Day," declared by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as December 15th, was celebrated in Jordan. The event, organized under the patronage of the Turkish Embassy in Amman, was held by the Amman Yunus Emre Institute. Attendees included the Turkish Ambassador to Amman, Yakup Caymazoğlu, the Azerbaijani Ambassador, Şahin Abullayev, representatives from other Turkic republics in Jordan, representatives of Turkish institutions in Jordan, and Jordanian students studying Turkish. The program began with a speech by Ambassador Caymazoğlu, followed by a lecture by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bağdagül Musa from the Department of Asian Languages, Turkish-English Division, at the University of Jordan, titled "The Historical Development of the Turkic Language and Turkic Dialects." The lecture was interactive, with students from the Turkish-English Section reading examples from 8 historical Turkic dialects and 18 contemporary Turkic dialects.​
