​Dr. Malek M. Jamaliah is an Associate Professor in the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Jordan in Aqaba. In addition to his role as a faculty member, he served as Chair of the Tourism Management Department for two years. Dr. Jamaliah has also engaged in a wide range of teaching activities and has presented at conferences in various countries, including the USA, Turkey, Italy, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and the United Arab Emirates. His research primarily focuses on ecotourism, sustainable tourism, and the human dimensions of biodiversity conservation, with a particular emphasis on climate change adaptation and protected area management. Dr. Jamaliah has published extensively in leading tourism journals, including the Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Journal of Ecotourism, Tourism Recreation Research, and Current Issues in Tourism.​
