Mahmoud Alarab is a Ph.D. student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Clemson University in South Carolina, USA, where he is pursuing a doctoral degree in Policy Studies with a focus on Environment and Natural Resources. He holds a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from Clemson University, as well as a Master's in World Heritage and Cultural Projects for Development from the University of Turin, Italy.
Mahmoud's research explores the intersection of outdoor recreation, natural resource management, and community development. He is particularly passionate about investigating how government policies can enhance outdoor recreational opportunities for the public while ensuring the sustainable preservation of natural resources.
With over 12 years of professional experience in Jordan and the Mediterranean region, Mahmoud has held leadership roles in the tourism industry across non-profits, funded development projects, and the Government of Jordan, where he contributed to initiatives that promoted sustainable tourism and cultural heritage conservation.
