Our research unit facilities

The lab of our research group, dedicated to natural products research, is equipped with a range of advanced instruments to facilitate the extraction, analysis, and stability testing of natural compounds. The High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) system is used for separating and quantifying components in complex mixtures. The Gas Chromatography with Flame Ionization Detection (GC-FID) is essential for analyzing volatile compounds, providing sensitive and precise detection. A Stability Chamber is employed to assess the stability of compounds under various environmental conditions, ensuring their shelf life and efficacy. The UV Spectrophotometer allows for the accurate measurement of absorbance, crucial for quantifying and identifying various compounds. High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) is used for the separation and identification of compounds, offering a high-throughput and cost-effective alternative to other chromatographic methods. Our lab also includes Rotavapors, which are essential for the efficient removal of solvents, and a Freeze Dryer for preserving samples by removing moisture. The Flash Chromatography System from Buchi facilitates the rapid purification of complex mixtures, and various extraction equipment allow for the efficient extraction of bioactive compounds from natural sources. Together, these instruments support comprehensive research and development in natural products.
