Dr. Marwan Jarrah is an associate professor in the Department of English Language and Literature at the University of Jordan. Dr. Jarrah received his Ph.D. in Linguistics from Newcastle University in 2017. His research interests include the theory of grammar and theoretical and comparative syntax, with a focus on the Minimalist Program, syntactic typology, interfaces of syntax, A/A`-movement, Phase Theory, Subject/object extraction, Criterial Freezing, and cartography of syntactic structures. Dr. Jarrah has published numerous papers in prestigious international journals, such as Natural Language and Linguistic Theory, Journal of Linguistics, Lingua, Studia Linguistica, and Linguistics.
