The Cultural Committee and the Idrisi Club in the Department of Geography organized a scientific seminar titled "Applications of Geographic Information Systems in the Field of Climate Change" in celebration of World Geographic Information Systems Day on December 5, 2025.
The department hosted Engineer Mazen Jou'ana, a representative from Infograph, to discuss applications of Geographic Information Systems and climate. Dr. Jamal Al-Mousa from the Earth Academy - Arab Weather also spoke about climate changes and their implications. Additionally, Dr. Heba Khasawneh from the Department of Geography presented an evaluation of precipitation data from the CRU product in Jordan using Geographic Information Systems​​
