The University of Jordan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (UJIEC) recently organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) to equip researchers with essential knowledge on securing legal recognition and protection for their innovations. This initiative underscores UJIEC's commitment to fostering a robust innovation ecosystem within the university. This initiative highlights the center's commitment to fostering innovation and empowering researchers to protect and commercialize their intellectual assets effectively.
Topics Covered in the Workshop
Overview of Intellectual Property Rights.
Steps to secure a patent, copyright, or trademark.
The role of IPR in academic and commercial research.
Strategies for patent commercialization.
Case studies on successful use of IPR by researchers.
Legal frameworks and procedures for filing IP in Jordan and internationally.
