Prof. Alsawalqa is a sociologist who has made significant contributions to the fields of sociology, gender studies, and social psychology. She earned her PhD in Sociology in 2012 and holds a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies.

As a faculty member in the Sociology Department, Prof. Alsawalqa has established herself as a prolific researcher. Her recent work has been published in several high-impact scientific journals, including the British Journal of Sociology, Sage Open, Nature: Humanities and Social Sciences Communications Journal, Heliyon, and Frontiers in Psychology. These publications highlight her expertise in addressing pressing social issues and advancing interdisciplinary research.

In 2019, Prof. Alsawalqa received two prestigious accolades: the International Venus Award for Creative Women and the Best Arab Researcher Award in Sociology. ​
