Launch of the Hackathon: "The Future of Jordanian Tourism Through the Eyes of Youth"

​Members of the research group played a key role in initiating and organising the Tourism Hackathon titled “The Future of Jordanian Tourism Through the Eyes of Youth – Opportunities and Empowerment”, which was organised by the School of Archaeology and Tourism in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre at the University of Jordan.

Professor Ismail Abu A​moud served as the coordinator of the hackathon, while other faculty members from the research group participated as supervisors for the competing student teams, providing continuous support and guidance throughout all stages of the competition.

The final ceremony announcing the winning projects took place on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, under the patronage of the University’s Vice President, Dr. Amira Al-Masri, and in the presence of several faculty members, guests, and students. This event marked an important step towards enhancing the role of youth and innovation in advancing Jordan’s tourism sector.
