Based on this partnership many research projects have been accomplished; like studying energy consumption in buildings by developing sustainable environmentally friendly lightweight concrete, Reuse of seawater and nanomaterial towards the development of sustainable high-performance lightweight concretes and The development of complex nanometric structures for tailoring the shielding and rheological properties of cement-based mixtures used in 3D printing technology. On the other hand, several researchers in this group are conducting new projects, such as; the development of zero-cement multifunctional lightweight construction materials and the development of alkali-activated foamed concrete.
