​Dr. Ghareeb O. Alshuwaier is an Associate ​Professor in the Department of Exercise Physiology at King Saud University, specializing in sports nutrition and physical performance. His research includes areas such as body composition, hydration status, and the nutritional needs of professional athletes. Dr. Alshuwaier earned his Ph.D. in Sports Nutrition from the University of Glasgow, where his thesis focused on the hydration status of Saudi professional soccer players during training sessions and matches. He also holds an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University.
