​Professor Kurdi is a Professor of Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacy Practice. He specialises in Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Utilisation Research, especially concerning cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and antibiotics. This includes studying medication adherence and persistence through the analysis of secondary databases and patient-level data, utilising a range of statistical and analytical methods.

Additionally, Professor Kurdi is keen on exploring Health Service Research and the evaluation of health policies and clinical guidelines' effects. Open to both national and international collaborations with fellow researchers and academics, Dr. Kurdi actively participates in events and conferences like EuroDURG and ICPE, fostering a collaborative environment for advancing research in these areas.​
