The 16th Jordanian Pharmaceutical Conference, organised by the Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA), took place in Amman from September 16-17, 2023, under the theme "Pharmacy Profession in the Bicentennial: A Future Vision." The conference aimed to foster the professional development of pharmacists and promote innovation within the pharmaceutical sector.

Dr. Saja A. Alnahar, a member of the Social and Administrative Pharmacy (SAP) research group, contributed to the conference with an oral presentation titled "Training Priorities of Practising Community Pharmacists in Jordan." In her presentation, Dr. Alnahar explored the key areas where community pharmacists require targeted training, aligning these needs with the demands of modern healthcare. The presentation provided practical insights into competency gaps and outlined strategies to enhance pharmacists' skills through structured and continuous professional development.

This presentation resonated with the conference's broader focus on sector development and professional growth. The event featured over 50 lectures, 15 workshops, and multiple discussion sessions addressing various themes, including pharmaceutical care, technological innovations, and the role of pharmacists in healthcare systems.

The conference concluded with recommendations to promote sustainable development within the pharmaceutical industry, with an emphasis on public-private collaboration, continuous education, and supportive legislation.
