Professor Yahya Bishtawi  has a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Performing Arts – Specialization in Theatrical Directing​. He is a graduate of Baghdad University (2003). He was awarded his full professorship from the University of Jordan in 2020. Dr. Bishtawi held many administrative titles; such as, the Head of the Department of  Theater Arts and the Vice Dean of Administrative and Academic Affairs at the School of Arts and Design. His research was awarded an excellence for being one of the best 100 researches at the University of Jordan. His research interest is in theater arts, arts and criticism, and aesthics.
