About:

​Abdul Kareem Al-Jarrah, a Jordanian and international accredited director, author, actor, critic and ​judge for theatrical and televized performances, currently serves as Director of Theater and Visual Arts at the Ministry of Culture (since 2019). He also serves as a member of the Advisory Council of the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University of Jordan. Additionally, Al-Jarrah currently serves at the Jordanian Ministry of Culture as the Director of the Jordan Theater Festival, the Director of the Jordan International Film Festival, the Director of the Ammon Youth Theater Festival, the Director of the Jordanian Children's Theater Festival and the Director of the Amateur Theater Festival. 

Abdulkarim Al-Jarrah has held a wide range of prominent positions within the Jordanian Ministry of Culture, reflecting his deep-rooted expertise in the performing arts and cultural development. His career includes serving as Director of the Directorate of Music and Performing Arts, Director of the Directorate of Children's Culture, and Director of the Institute of Fine Arts. He has also worked as Artistic Supervisor of the National Folklore Troupe at the National Library and as Director of Arts and Theater. Al-Jarrah has led several key departments, including serving as Head of Department at the Directorate of Arts and Theater, Head of the Children’s Theater Section, Head of the Children’s Song and Music Section, and Head of the Theater and Cinema Department. In addition, he has supervised the Fine Arts Training Center and led national creative camps. His experience as a theater director spans several cultural directorates, including the Directorate of Arts and Theater (Zarqa Directorate of Culture and Irbid Directorate of Culture), underscoring his active role in nurturing theatrical talent and promoting cultural engagement across the Kingdom.

Al-Jarrah's creativity is depicted in the theatrical performances he has directed since 1994. Some of his directed theatrical plays include: مسرحية عرار نشيد الصعاليك (2000), مسرحية مرثية الذئب الأخيرة (2000), مسرحية سدرا (2001), مسرحية ظلال القرى (2002), مسرحية هانيبال (2004), مسرحية ميشع يبقى حياً (2009), مسرحية صدى الصحراء (نقش الورد) (2013), مسرحية العرس الوحشي (2016), and مسرحية من قتل حمزة؟ (2018), each reflecting his artistic vision and dedication to theatrical expression rooted in cultural and historical themes.​ He authored two of those dramatic works: مسرحية عرار نشيد الصعاليك (2000) and مسرحية صدى الصحراء (نقش الورد) (2013)​.
