Under the supervision of Dr. Aseel Zibin, two PhD students and one MA student have successfully defended their dissertations. Sajeda Ahmad Ajlouni defended her dissertation titled “An Analysis of Visual Pain Metaphors in Static Cartoons and Short Animated Films: A Contrastive Study". In addition, Soumia Mekahli has successfully defended her dissertation entitled “An Investigation of the Conceptualization of Gratitude and Its Strategies: Evidence from Algerian and Jordanian Speakers of Arabic." Finally, Ghaidaa Mustafa successfully defended her MA thesis titled “Metaphor Comprehension in Jordanian-Arabic Speaking Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Compared to Typically Developing Children". All three dissertations were met with high praise from the examination committee.
