Professor Waters is a renowned nursing scientist, interested in studying the health equity, disparities, and the health of vulnerable populations, including refugees and immigrants. Professor Waters co-wrote two papers on Palestinian refugees' mental health and quality of life with Dr. Hamza Alduraidi. She was Dr. Alduraidi's doctoral dissertation advisor between 2013-2016.
