​Prof. Dr. Maysoon Abdulghany Al‑Nahar earned her PhD in Anthropology and Prehistory from Arizona State University (1995–2000). Since 2000, she has been a Full Professor in the Department of Archaeology at the University of Jordan.
She specializes in Prehistoric archaeology of the Southern Levant, particularly the Paleolithic, Epipaleolithic, and Neolithic periods. And she has led and participated in over 45 archaeological excavations across Jordan.
