He earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan, Faculty of Medicine.He completed his Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residency and Cytopathology Fellowship at the University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida, USA.

He is certified by the American Board of Anatomic & Clinical Pathology and the American Board of Cytopathology.

An experienced surgical pathologist and cytopathologist, he has an extensive record of publications in his field.
