Prof. Firas Al-Sleihat, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at University of Petra, participated in the First International Conference on Dentistry organized by Assiut University. He delivered a lecture titled, "From Blood to Tissues: Unlocking the Potential of Regenerative Medicine in Dentistry – Current Innovations and Future Perspectives."

The lecture covered the latest advancements in regenerative medicine and stem cell applications for addressing oral and dental tissue issues, including tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting techniques. These innovations are reshaping the future of dental treatments and reducing reliance on traditional methods.

Dr. Al-Sleihat chaired one of the conference sessions and contributed to evaluating student presentations to enhance research in the field of dentistry. At the conclusion of the conference, Prof. Safaa Al-Tohami, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Assiut University, presented Dr. Al-Sleihat with an honorary shield in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the conference's scientific discussions.

The conference concluded with recommendations to strengthen the applications of regenerative medicine in dentistry and promote scientific research in stem cell-based treatment techniques. It emphasized the importance of international collaboration to develop joint training programs and establish innovative treatment protocols. Participants also highlighted the need to raise awareness among the public and medical sectors about the benefits of regenerative medicine for improving oral and dental health.​
