Dr Lora AlSawalha is a National Professional Officer at the Communicable Diseases Surveillance, WHO, Jordan. Dr. Lora has obtained her Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Medicine at Jordan University of Science and Technology. She is working on AMR /Zoonotic Disease Surveillance using One Health approach and is also leading Influenza Pandemic Preparedness plan in Jordan. Dr. Lora worked for 16 years at MOA on Zoonotic diseases control and prevention at the human animal interface. Dr. Lora plays a pivotal role in strengthening the public health infrastructure. Her expertise contributes to the timely identification and response to infectious disease outbreaks, ensuring that comprehensive surveillance systems are in place. By collaborating with local health authorities, healthcare providers, and international partners, she spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing data collection and analysis. This not only aids in real-time monitoring of disease trends but also supports the implementation of effective control measures across the country. Dr. Lora’s dedication to public health serves as a crucial asset in the fight against communicable diseases, fostering resilience within the community and safeguarding the health of the population.
