Design Thinking for Antimicrobial Resistance

​A 3-day workshop on "Design Thinking for Antimicrobial Resistance" was held today at the School of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan, in partnership with the World Health Organization, for fifth and sixth year students, on the occasion of World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week. The Dean of the School of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Rula Darwish, welcomed the guests from the World Health Organization and stressed the importance of this partnership with the organization at all levels. Dr. Darwish explained the importance of the topic of antimicrobial resistance and its disastrous consequences and the need to join efforts to raise awareness of this issue. Dr. Mahmoud Alkawareek overviewed the antimicrobial resistance.  The workshop was presented by experts from the World Health Organization, including our research team member Dr. Lora AlSawalha, attended by academics from the School of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan, and experts from the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, and address topics including the current status of antimicrobial resistance globally and in Jordan.​
