Dr. Samiha Sartawi is an accomplished academic and clinical expert in the field of dentistry, specializing in prosthodontics and dental erosion.
Dr. Sartawi began her education in Zarqa, Jordan, where she completed primary and secondary schoolg before obtaining the General Secondary Education Certificate in 2001 from the Ministry of Education in Jordan, with an outstanding GPA of 96.1%. Dr. Sartawi pursued a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) at the University of Jordan, Amman, from 2001 to 2006, graduating with honors and a GPA of 3.83, ranking third in her class.
Then Dr. Sartawi continued her postgraduate education internationally at the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom, where she earned a Master of Prosthodontics (MDSc) in 2012. Furthering her research interests, she completed a PhD in dental erosion at the same institution, finishing in 2015. Dr. Sartawi continued her clinical training in the UK at Dundee Dental Hospital, NHS Tayside, where she received comprehensive clinical training in both fixed and removable prosthodontics from 2010 to 2015. Currently, Dr. Sartawi holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Prosthodontics, School of Dentistry, University of Jordan, where she has been teaching since 2016. In addition to the academic role, she is actively engage in clinical training, research, and mentoring the next generation of dental professionals.
