The 96th Annual Meeting of the American Prosthodontic Society (APS) took place on February 20–21, 2025, at the Swissôtel Chicago. This esteemed event convened over 400 professionals, including prosthodontists, general dentists, dental technologists, and researchers, to explore advancements in prosthetic dentistry.
The conference theme, "Prosthodontics Through Life Stages: From Childhood to Late Adulthood," emphasized comprehensive care across the lifespan. Attendees engaged in sessions covering esthetic full-mouth rehabilitations, digital workflows, multidisciplinary treatment planning, geriatric patient management, full-arch implant rehabilitation, and the integration of artificial intelligence in dentistry.
Notable speakers included Dr. Gerry Chiche, recipient of the 2025 Golden Medallion Award, who shared insights from his 45-year experience in esthetic full-mouth rehabilitations. Christian Coachman, honored with the Kenneth D. Rudd Award, discussed the evolving synergy between dentists and laboratory technicians in the digital era. Other distinguished presenters featured Dr. Mauro Fradeani, MDT Naoki Hayashi, Dr. Antonio Bello, Dr. Tali Charckartchi, Dr. Irene Marron, Dr. Nuria Otero, Dr. Rebecca Bockow, Dr. Ricardo Mitrani, Dr. Nitzan Bichacho, Dr. Panos Papaspyridakos, Dr. Ramon Gomez Meda, Dr. Milko Villarroel, Dr. Eduardo Nicolaievsky, and Team ABC comprising Dr. German Albertini, Dr. Diego Bechelli, and Dr. Anibal Capusotto.
The meeting also showcased the 18th Annual Graduate Prosthodontic Research Competition, highlighting emerging research from graduate students worldwide. This event reinforced APS's commitment to fostering education, innovation, and collaboration in prosthodontics.
