Hamdi Mango Center for Scientific Research at the University of Jordan, in collaboration with the American Chemical Society (ACS) – Jordan Chapter, organized a specialized training course targeting advanced undergraduate students from the Departments of Industrial Chemistry, Chemistry, Physics, and Pharmacy.
A total of 12 students from various Jordanian universities participated in the course, including the University of Jordan, Al-Hussein Bin Talal University, and the Hashemite University.
The one-week course (15 training hours) aimed to equip participants with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the synthesis of nanomaterials and polymer nanocomposites, as well as to showcase their advanced applications in water treatment.
The course was delivered by Dr. Rund Abu-Zurayk, who focused her lectures on exposing students to the latest research developments and scientific techniques in this vital field, thereby enhancing their skills and strengthening their future prospects in scientific research and the job market.
