Bio:

Dr. Ayat Bozeya is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Nanotechnology at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan. With a strong foundation in colloid and surface chemistry, her early research explored phase diagrams, surfactants, emulsions, and microemulsions, focusing on the complex behaviors of three-component systems involving water, oil, and surfactants. Over time, her academic journey has evolved to encompass the application of physical chemistry and nanomaterials in multidisciplinary research projects.

Dr. Bozeya’s work spans diverse and impactful areas, including:
Characterization and treatment of Dead Sea mud
Application of colloid and surface chemistry techniques to treat olive mill wastewater
Conservation of cultural heritage, notably preserving the Roman Nymphaeum in Amman using colloids and nanomaterials
Development of biodegradable food packaging films
Design of lightweight materials with enhanced mechanical properties using nanocomposite principles
Fabrication of heterogeneous nanocatalysts for textile wastewater treatment
Creation of polymeric nanocomposite membranes and ceramic nanocomposites for advanced water treatment

Her interdisciplinary approach bridges fundamental research with practical applications, addressing critical challenges in environmental sustainability, cultural preservation, and material innovation. Dr. Bozeya  continues to contribute significantly to the fields of nanotechnology and physical chemistry through her research and dedication to advancing scientific knowledge.
