Dr. Ahmad Hamdan - Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Oral Medicine and Periodontology- School of Dentistry - University of Jordan - Jordan

Dr. Ahmad graduated from the University of Jordan with bachelor's in dental surgery (BDS) in 2002. Dr. Ahmad then obtained his Master's degree in Osteoarticular biology, Biomaterials & Biofunctionality from the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7, and a Master's degree in Periodontology from the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7. Dr. Ahmad obtained his PhD from the same university in the year 2009. Moreover, he followed a specializing training in periodontology and implant dentistry in the University Denis Diderot – Paris 7 during the period 2005-2008. Dr. Ahmad passed the Jordanian Medical Council exam in periodontology (Jordanian Board) in the year 2010. He joined the School of Dentistry in the University of Jordan as assistant professor in the year 2009, and the Jordan University Hospital as consultant periodontist in the year 2009. Dr. Ahmad currently an Associate Professor, and Consultant Periodontist. In addition, He works as visiting Consultant Periodontist in a private clinic in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During his career, he occupied the position of Secretary General of Jordanian Dental Association for the period 2015-2016. He was member of the Jordanian Dental Association Council for the period 2013-2016. He occupied the position of Assistant Dean for Development and Quality Assurance Affairs in the School of Dentistry – University of Jordan for the period 2011-2016. Currently, Dr. Ahmad is the Vice-Dean for Hospital Affairs since 2021. In addition, He is an ITI fellow, and the director of the Amman ITI Study Club since 2022. He is interested in different aspects of periodontal therapy, especially non-surgical periodontal therapy and periodontal plastic surgery. He is also interested in guided implant surgery, socket preservation techniques, as well as soft tissue augmentation around implants.​
